Jim "Mattress Mack" McIngvale's record-breaking $75 million winning wager on the NBA World Series is credited with this.   

Ten million dollars was wagered by Mattress Mack on the Houston Astros, who beat the odds to win the World Series.  

He bet at several bookmakers, including Caesars, Betfred, and Unibet. In actuality, he wagered $3 million on Caesars in his largest wager to date.   

Ken Fuchs, COO of Caesars Digital, remarked upon his victory: "What can we say? We recently sent Mattress Mack the largest cheque in sports betting history, totaling $30,000,000."  

Additionally, Mattress Mack's $5 million payoff from Betfred was the largest sum the book has ever given out in its half-century of operation.  

Revenue from mobile sports betting would have been $47.4 million if Mattress Mack hadn't received the huge payoff (i.e., if he hadn't lost). Therefore, it is evident that Mattress Mack's large wager had a significant impact on the state's final outcome.  

In the Pelican state, retail sports betting income likewise saw a sharp decline, falling 54% from October to $2 million.   

In Louisiana's casinos, things looked better. Caesar's Harrah's New Orleans generated $23.3 million in revenue, an 84% increase over the previous month.   

In November compared to October, Louisiana's total revenue would have decreased by 20% in the absence of this noteworthy contribution.  

Currently, November revenue from the state's casinos was $218.4 million, a 15% monthly decrease.    

Boyd's Treasure Chest site had the poorest month-over-month statistics out of all the casinos in the state, with a 25% decrease from October.   

As it turned out, the Golden Nugget was the only Harrah's facility to show a profit, bringing in $26.7 million, an increase of 9% from the previous month.
